Examination

A comprehensive eye exam is more than just your

glasses prescription and giving you clearer vision. It involves a thorough evaluation of your entire visual system which includes your ocular health. Yearly visits to the eye doctor are an important part of your preventative health care. Many eye and vision problems can present themselves without obvious signs or symptoms. Children may have difficulty in school due to binocular functions and over focusing. Ocular diseases sometimes go unchecked and are not diagnosed until there is already vision loss.

The ocular health portion of the exam will screen you for a variety of ocular diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration. We are here to provide you with the best eye care to ensure your eyes remain healthy for years to come.

Together we will determine your visual demands to keep your eyes comfortable throughout the day; whether it's driving down the road or working at a computer all day.

Retinal Camera or Fundus Photography

A retinal camera takes a quick and painless digital image of your retina. This technology assists in determining the health of your eyes and can help identify and manage diseases. This is a tool the doctor will use, but it does not replace a dilated fundus exam. Together with your doctor you will determine if one is necessary.

ICare Tonometer

The Icare tonometer is based on a new measuring principle, in which a very light probe is used to make momentary contact with the cornea. The measurement is barely noticed by the patient and often does not even cause corneal reflex. It's a more pleasant experience on all patients, it is also an important break-through for succeeding with non-compliant patients (i.e. children and dementia patients).

Requiring no drops or specialized skills for its use, the quick and painless Icare tonometer has an important role in glaucoma screening

Keratron Scout

A corneal topographer which is a non-invasive medical imaging technique for mapping the surface curvature of the cornea. This helps the doctor diagnosis and treat a number of corneal conditions including keratoconus and high astigmatism when fitting specialty lenses.
